In a must-win game against Susquehanna, Kylie Russell threw a four-hit shutout and struck out eight in 3-0 win to help the softball team clinch the fifth and final Landmark Conference Championship slot, as she secured her fifth career Warrior of the Week award and her second of the season. Russell was brilliant in a must-win game for the Warriors, allowing four hits and two walks in her second shutout of the year. Just one runner reached third base, in the fourth inning, when she struck out two batters to escape a second- and third-jam with one out. She retired the last seven batters she faced, striking out the first two batters in the seventh.Â
Russell finished the regular season sixth in the Landmark Conference with a 2.09 ERA, sitting seventh with nine wins, two shutouts and third with 81 strikeouts.
