After grinding out a pitchers' duel for his second win of the season, sophomore Noah Miller has earned his first career Warrior of the Week award. The southpaw pitched a career-long eight innings and struck out a career-high seven, allowing only an unearned run and allowing five hits and a walk in 5-2 win over Moravian, dealing 102 pitches in the outing. After Moravian scored a second inning unearned run, only one more runner reached third base until the bottom of the ninth inning, as Miller let two runners on base just once, in the eighth inning when he induced a flyout to end his performance with runners on first and second.Â
Miller leads the Warriors with two wins and is second on the team with a 4.35 ERA. He is seventh in the Landmark Conference with 31 innings pitched and 10th with 21 strikeouts.
