After extending her season-opening hitting streak to nine games for the softball team, junior Rachel Daub has earned her first Warrior of the Week award of the season and the second of her career. The catcher hit .591 (13-of-22) during eight games of Warriors' spring break trip, posting a hit in all eight games, scoring four runs and driving in three, slugging at a .682 clip and with a 1.273 OPS. The junior had two hits against Miss. U for Women, UMPI, Oswego, Thiel and UMass-Boston. She had three runs against UMPI and a run, triple and RBI against MUW. The Honesdale, Pa., native also threw out 55 percent of would-be basestealers (5-of-9) from behind the dish.
The junior is now ninth in program history with a .336 batting average. She is fourth in the Landmark Conference in batting average (.577), seventh in OPS (1.225) and she leads the conference having caught five base-stealers.
