With an upset win over the fifth-ranked grappler in the Mideast region in his first bout at 149 pounds this year, senior Wiley Kahler has earned his second career Warrior of the Week award and first of the season. He controlled handfights and shots with Oswego's Tyler Rossini throughout regulation, where both only had escapes to begin the second and third periods. In the overtime period, Kahler grabbed a leg and stepped over to take Rossini to the mat for another 4-1 win at 149, helping the Warriors post a 19-17 win over Oswego to improve to 4-0.
Kahler, who opened the year at 157 pounds, improved to 5-4 on the season and 62-24 in his career.
