Kaitie Bottorf

With 11 years experience in the UPMC system as an athletic trainer, Katie Bottorf is set for her fifth year as an assistant athletic trainer at Lycoming College in 2025-26. Bottorf works closely with the football, wrestling and women's lacrosse teams.

While working at UPMC, Bottorf has also worked one year at Penn College, and six years as the athletic trainer for Loyalsock Township High School.
 
Bottorf also completed a student internship with the Reading Royals of the East Coast Hockey League.

Active in the world of athletic training, Bottorf is the UPMC Susquehanna Region Sports Medicine Program Development Committee Chair, serving on the newsletter, social, emergency and general skills review and continuing education committees. She has also worked as a volunteer at the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society (PATS) convention and has served as an athletic training preceptor for Lock Haven for the past eight years. She is a member of both PATS and the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).

A Lock Haven, Pa., native, she received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Lock Haven University in 2014 and a master’s degree in exercise science and wellness promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2015.
