Joe Guistina was named to his current post as associate athletic director for communications in August 2014. He is set for his 15th year at Lycoming College in 2024-25.

Guistina oversees media relations efforts for the Warriors' 20 athletic programs, including serving as webmaster of lycomingathletics.com, producing live video streams for FloSports, coordinating media requests for the athletic department and keeping statistical records for the athletic department's teams.

Since coming to Lycoming, Guistina coordinated and wrote "200 Memories: An athletics retrospective" to coincide with the school's bicentennial in 2012. The 2017 football game program was judged the best in the nation in the College Sports Communicators' publications contest. He also earned a Best Cover award from the organization for his 2010-11 swimming guide and has won three College Sports Communicators Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest. In 2012-13, he oversaw the launching of the first live web stream of athletic events in the school's history and has since expanded the video stream program to include nearly all athletic events held at Lamade Gym and the Shangraw Athletic Complex. 

He is the vice-chair of the College Sports Communicators Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest, and has served as a district coordinator for the contest for the past 16 years, and he also volunteers as president of the West Branch Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Guistina was the chair of the Middle Atlantic Conference Sports Information committee from 2018-22.

Guistina came to Lycoming from USC Upstate, where he worked for three years. He served as an intern during the 2006-07 school year at Michigan State and spent two years as a graduate assistant at the University at Buffalo. Prior to that, Guistina was a three-year letterwinner as a pitcher on Susquehanna's baseball team. 

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Guistina earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from Susquehanna in 2004 and a master of arts in informatics from Buffalo in 2006.

Guistina and his wife, Sarah, reside in Williamsport.
