A three-time Eastern Wrestling League placewinner, Cody Wheeler is set for his second year as an assistant coach with the Lycoming College wrestling team.
In his first year with the team, Wheeler helped mentor two All-Americans, three regional placewinners and the MAC Rookie of the Year in Hadyn Swartwood. Wheeler helped guide the team to a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and a third-place finish at the Budd Whitehill National Duals, as the Warriors posted an 18-3 overall record, the team's best record in 17 years.

Wheeler was a four-year starter at Lock Haven University, finishing his career with 54 wins as a Bald Eagle. He took fifth at the EWL Championships as a freshman and sophomore and wrapped up his career by placing second at the tournament as a senior in 2016.

A three-time state qualifier at Towanda High School, won more than 100 matches in high school while placing third in Class AA as a junior and second as a senior at 125 pounds while posting an outstanding 48-2 record. Wheeler also won two freestyle and Greco-Roman state titles in high school and finished fourth at the 2009 USA Wrestling Junior Freestyle Nationals at 105 pounds.

Wheeler graduated from Lock Haven University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in geology.
