A two-time NWCA All-American, Brian Shermeyer enters his third year as an assistant coach with the Lycoming College wrestling team in 2025-26.
In two years with the team, Shermeyer has helped the team to a 23-6 dual-meet record and two top-six finishes at the NCAA Regional qualifiers while mentoring four NCAA Championship qualifiers.
Shermeyer, a four-year letterwinner at Messiah University, spent 2021-23 as a graduate assistant at Western New England College, mentoring one All-American and helping the team to a ninth-place finish at the 2021 NCAA North East Regionals.
At Messiah, Shermeyer was a two-time NCAA Championships qualifier at 174 pounds in 2019 and 2020, earning NWCA Third-Team All-American honors in 2020 after the NCAA Championships were cancelled due to COVID-19. He took fifth at the NWCA Championships in 2021 to earn his second All-American honors, helping him finish his career with a 74-36 record.
Shermeyer and wife, Morgan, reside in Williamsport.
