After a very successful coaching tenure at the high school level, Brett Michaels is set for his fifth year as an assistant coach with the Warriors.
In his first four years at Lycoming, Michaels has become involved in every aspect of the program, helping to coordinate and run practices as well as helping to recruit.
During his time with the Warriors, he has helped coach three ECWC champions, three NCAA qualifiers, an All-American and seven NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
Before coming to Lycoming, Michaels coached the varsity team at Shikellamy High School for six years, compiling an overall record of 85-38. In 2009, his team finished ranked seventh in the state in Class AAA. He won the District 4 Coach of the Year award four times, his conference's coach of the year award five times and the Daily Item Coach of the Year two times. In 2008, Michaels earned the District 4 Sportsmanship Award. In 2011, his team earned the Milford Pittman Memorial Award for Class and Sportsmanship at the Cumberland Valley Duals.
Michaels is a 1998 graduate of Susquehanna University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in English. He also earned a master’s in education from Marygrove College in 2000. Michaels is communication arts/English teacher at Shikellamy High School.
Brett lives in Danville with his wife, Kelly, and daughters, Kamryn and Kylie.
