A former Penn College captain,
Ian Scheller will begin his fourth season as Lycoming College women's soccer assistant coach in 2021. He is active in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, practice planning and game preparation.
In his second year with the team, the Warriors posted an 8.5-game improvement in 2020, the third-best mark in Division III, as the team finished 10-8-1.
Scheller is also the head boys' soccer coach at Loyalsock Township High School. In his first two years, he helped the team to two conference titles.
Scheller was a three-time captain with the Wildcats from 2014-17. Primarily serving as an outside back during his playing career, Scheller started 65 of his 71 games played. As a senior, he finished second on the team in goals (4), and points (9) and he led the team with three game-winning strikes.
Scheller helped the Wildcats to their best record in four years during his senior campaign, helping them to eight wins and a first round win in the North East Athletic Conference tournament.
A Sunbury, Pa., native, Scheller graduated from Penn College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2018.
