    2nd Year
After a year as the director of lacrosse operations at Towson University, Laura Zinkand is set for her second year with the Lycoming College women’s lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in 2016.

In her first year with the program, Zinkand helped the team to a 10-6 record, a five-win improvement over 2014. Working with the team's defense, she helped the squad allow three goals per game less than 2014, as the team allowed just 10.56 goals per game.

Before Lycoming, Zinkand helped organize and run camps, clinics and events, headed fundraising events and organized travel trips through booking hotels, buses and meals during one season as Towson’s director of operations. She also prepared itineraries and interacted with recruits through their campus tours.

A one-year letterwinner at Towson, Zinkand spent the 2012-13 seasons on the roster. She started the last 15 games of the season for the Tigers, finishing fifth on the team in goals with 12 ground balls and helping the team to a Colonial Athletic Association title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Before Towson, Zinkand spent two years at Cincinnati as a starting defender, leading the team with 42 groundballs as a freshman to earn the team’s defensive MVP award and adding seven points on six goals as a sophomore.

Zinkand also has plenty of experience in youth lacrosse, serving as an assistant in Skywalker’s Lacrosse Club program for four years, the Rome Lacrosse Club program for one year and with the 513 Lacrosse Club as well. She was also a personal sports coach for Sister’s Academy for five years.

Zinkand graduated from Towson with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organismal Biology in 2014.
