A two-time national finalist and a team captain, former Lock Haven University standout Katie McDonough will begin her first season as a member of the Lycoming College women's lacrosse staff in 2019..

McDonough was a five-year member of the Lock Haven women's lacrosse team, redshirting before becoming a three-year starter and serving as captain during her senior season. Throughout her career, she helped the Bald Eagles win two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference titles and reach the NCAA Division II Championship game in 2014 and 2015. During her senior campaign, McDonough started all 19 games and scored on her only shot attempt on the season. She caused 17 turnovers during her senior year with a career best five turnovers caused in a win against Slippery Rock.

McDonough started off her coaching career during 2016 by coaching the Long Island Express club team. She coached Team 91 during the summer of 2018. She aided the girls in both club programs in the college recruiting process.

McDonough served as a graduate assistant to the Lock Haven University sports administration department during the 2017-18 school year. She also served as an intern with the West Islip Athletic Department in the summer of 2017.

An Oakdale, N.Y., native, McDonough earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration in 2017 and a Master of Science in Sports Science: Sports and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University in 2018.
