Chrissy Trescavage

Chrissy Trescavage is set to begin her third year as head women's lacrosse coach at Lycoming College in 2013. During her first two years, Trescavage has overseen a rebuilding effort while still managing to mentor two All-Americans, three all-conference selections and five conference players of the week.

In 2012, Trescavage led the an injury-ravaged Warriors to four wins, including a three-game winning streak, posting victories over Becker, Rochester and Westfield State, all while mentoring a young team that featured five freshmen. She also helped Brooke Strausser earn her third straight all-conference honors.

With a young team that featured just six players with collegiate lacrosse experience in her first season, Trescavage patiently helped the Warriors improve throughout the season and her solid work ethic was rewarded with three wins. Trescavage also oversaw the development of Grace Gargiulo into one of the finest midfielders in the nation, as she finished second in the country in goals per game (5.0). Gargiulo, along with teammate Strausser, each earned All-American honors from USA College Lacrosse.com.

Trescavage began her career as an assistant coach at Misericordia in 2006, spending four seasons on the Dallas, Pa., campus and mentoring two Colonial States Athletic Conference Rookies of the Year and helping the Cougars to two appearances in the conference playoffs. She twice stepped into the duties of acting head coach while the head coach was out on maternity leave, including during the 2008 and 2010 spring seasons.

In 2007, the Cougars finished with an 7-8 record and qualified for the conference playoffs. In 2008, the team again reached the conference playoffs and in the past two years, Trescavage has helped the Cougars transition to the Middle Atlantic Conference.

On the field, Trescavage helped implement a motion offense into the Cougars’ system along with planning practices. Off the field, she also helped scout opponents, recruit student-athletes and broke down game film.

Trescavage was a four-year letterwinner and one-time captain at Susquehanna University, where she earned All-MAC honors as a sophomore and a senior. She set the school record for goals in a season with 53 as a sophomore. A four-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll, Trescavage ranks seventh in the Crusaders’ all-time record book in points (130) and fifth in goals (105).

A 2006 graduate of Susquehanna with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, Trescavage and her husband, Mike, reside in Moosic.
