A four-year member of the Lycoming College men’s swim team, Josh Thomas ‘16 is set to begin his fourth year on the Lycoming swim team staff in 2019-20.
Thomas is active in all aspects of the program, including practice and meet coaching as well as recruiting.
Thomas was a four-year member of the men’s swim team from 2012-16. He was a 12-time All-MAC swimmer, an Academic All-Conference selection and a member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll. He also holds the top two times in program history in the 200-yard butterfly, with his record time of 1:57.89 being set in 2015 at the MAC Championships. Thomas also competed in the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard individual medley and the 200-, 400- and 800-yard medley relay. He earned six individual All-MAC selections, including three first team selections, and six All-MAC selections as part of a relay team, with two first-team and three second-team selections. In Thomas’ four years on the team, the Warriors went a combined 24-13 with a third-place team finish at the MAC Championships his freshman year.
A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Lycoming in 2017. He is a mechanical engineer with Muncy Industries.
