Brett Moyer

Brett Moyer

A 0.8-handicap golfer with three years of experience as an assistant golf pro, Muncy resident Brett Moyer is set for his fifth year as the head men's golf coach at Lycoming College in 2020-21.

In his first four years with the program, Moyer has helped expand the team's schedule, playing in the fall for the first time in program history, and playing in more events per season than ever before. He also helped guide Hailey Fricke to back-to-back all-conference honors at the Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in professional golf management from Penn State in 1996, Moyer spent three summers at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, N.J., as an assistant golf pro, where he helped run the pro shop and instructed club members with golf lessons. During his time at the club, he qualified for the New Jersey State Golf Association Open Championship in both 1997-98.

After transitioning into a sales career, Moyer has continued to stay active in golf. He has carded a nine-hole 29 at White Deer Golf Course's Vintage Course and he has also shot two 18-hole rounds of 64. He also has two hole-in-ones to his credit.

Active in the local community, Moyer has also served as a volunteer with the Muncy Youth Football Association.

Moyer is a business development manager with Bridgewater Wholesalers. A native of Cressona, Pa., he and his wife, Jodie, have two sons, Kolby and Harley, and two daughters, Lily and Shelbie.
