Now entering her third year as head coach of the Lycoming College cross country teams, Lesley Larson has been associated with the Warriors for the past 15 years.

In 2010, Larson helped mold a young team into one that improved throughout the year. Along the way, freshman Michael Puchalski scored two top-10 finishes on the men's side, becoming the first men's runner to finish in the top 10 at a race and sophomore Michelle Herman added four top-20 finishes on the women's side. Larson sent five runners to the NCAA Regionals for the second year in a row.

In her first year at the helm, Larson oversaw three top-10 finishes from freshman Michelle Herman and one from senior Kari Smith. The Warriors sent five runners to the NCAA Regionals.

Larson volunteered with the program since she graduated from Lycoming in 2000. While a student-athlete, she was co-captain and a four-year Middle Atlantic Conference qualifier in both cross country, and track and field. Larson also received MAC Academic Honor Roll honors three times and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. As a senior, she received the Service to Lycoming Award for her dedication to the running programs.

Larson earned a bachelor's degree in art with a specialization in commercial design/marketing. She is employed by North Central Sight Services Inc., in Williamsport as the senior sales/marketing representative.

In addition to coaching, she is a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America for the physical fitness merit badge, which is an Eagle Scout requirement.

Originally from Coatesville, Pa., Larson resides in Montoursville with her husband, Chad, and her newborn son, Austin.
