Denny Hammond

Denny Hammond enters his ninth season at Lycoming in 2010, as he is in his fourth year in his third different tenure with the program.

During his latest tenure with the Warriors, Hammond has helped mentor four all-conference linemen, including two-time first-team selection Anthony Marascio.

A longtime area coach, Hammond also spent six years as head coach at Hughesville Area High School, where he compiled a 39-27 record, and served as an assistant coach at Montoursville and Montgomery high schools.

Hammond coached at the College from 1982-84, serving as a linebackers coach, and again from 1996-97, working with the defensive line. He has helped the Warriors win four MAC titles and helped lead the 1997 team to the national title game.

Hammond is a 1968 graduate of Mansfield University and earned a master’s in education from Bloomsburg University in 1977. Hammond and his wife, Jean, have three children: Jason, Jared and Keigh.
