A four-year letterwinner who was a key contributor at the linebacker position throughout his career, Chris Kish is set for his 14th year on the football staff as an assistant coach in 2025. His primary focus will be the team’s linebackers.

During his 18 years associated with the Warriors, Kish has helped the team to a 93-81 record, two MAC titles, four postseason appearances and two postseason bowl wins. During his time as a coach, Kish has helped 12 Warriors earn all-conference accolades, two earn all-region honors and one earn All-American accolades.

After coaching the defensive line for a year, Kish took over as the team's primary linebackers coach in 2016 following the retirement of his mentor and longtime coach Mike Weber.

In his first year as an assistant coach in 2013, Kish helped coach the team to a 7-3 mark and a share of the school's 15th MAC title. With his focus on linebackers, he helped coach three all-conference performers, as the defense led the MAC for the second straight year in points allowed. Kish served as a student assistant in 2012 while finishing requirements for his teaching certificate.
Kish, who earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from Lycoming in 2013, was a two-year starter with the Warriors, appearing in 35 career games. He finished his career with 124 career tackles and 2.5 sacks. He helped the Warriors win the 2008 MAC title and post a 25-16 record during his four years with the program.

A Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native, Kish is a learning support teacher at Hughesville High School, where he is also the head baseball coach. He finished his master's in Educational Development & Strategies at Wilkes University in 2016. He and wife, Briana, and daughters, Lyla and Cali, reside in Hughesville.
