The CoSIDA Academic All-America program is administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and marks the pinnacle of athletic and academic achievement for collegiate student-athletes. Honorees are selected based on their merits in the classroom as well as their prowess on their respective playing fields.
To become an Academic All-American, an individual student-athlete must be a starteror significant reserve, carry a 3.30 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and be of sophomore or higher standing.The nominees for Academic All-America are determined by combining allAcademic All-District First Team selections from CoSIDA's eight districts.
Lycoming's list of Academic All-Americans includes 25Â individuals and a total of 28 awards.
Richard Henninger '73 (men's basketball) was the earliest selection as part of the 1973 College Division, while the school set a new standard for excellence with a record three Warriors tabbed Academic All-America in 2010-11.
