2017: Ran in all seven events … ran a season-best 31:33.4 at the DeSales Invite … competed at the MAC Championships where he placed 136^th with a time of 34:14.
 
2016: Competed in eight events ... one of team's top five runners all year long ... took 23rd in debut race at the Highlander Invitational in 34:27.15 ... finished in top 40 in two other races ... finished fourth on the team in 32:02.6 to finish 113th at MAC Championships ... finished fourth on the team and 285th in a season-best 30:27 at the NCAA Mideast Regionals.

High School: A three-year member of the cross country team … posted a time of 17:43.4 as a senior at the Orange County Cross Country Championships on 3-mile course … posted a career-best time of 17:17.6 … also lettered in volleyball.

Personal: Son of Josefina Vergara … has two brothers, Jesse and Ricardo, and two sisters, Melissa and Reyna … a psychology major … favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine.
