Magee scores at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Junior Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored her first goal of the season in the 82nd minute to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team, which fell to Westminster College, 2-1, on Saturday, Sept. 5, at UPMC Sports Complex.
 
After second-half goals from Westminster's Giulianna Russell and Amelia Brose, Magee got the Warriors (0-2) within a score, as she scored off a helper from senior Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area).
 
Sophomore Leah Elliott (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser Area) stopped two shots in net for the Warriors. Emily Codere made five saves to earn the win for the Titans (2-0-1), who were outshot, 20-15.
 
The Warriors are back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 9, when they host Lancaster Bible College at 4 p.m., at UPMC Field.
