Tre Lesperance (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) led the Lycoming College golf team with a 7-over-par 79 at the par-72, 6,605-yard Penn State University Blue Course during the first round of the Pennsylvania Classic on Saturday, March 28.

The Warriors finished the first day with a 45-over-par 333 to sit in a tie for 17
th with Thiel in the field of 21 teams. Allegheny leads the tournament after posting a 20-over-par 308, three strokes ahead of Pitt-Bradford.

Lesperance finished the day 31
st in the field of 120 golfers, as he was 3-over-par on the front nine and 4-over on the back, posting birdies on the par-5, 507-yard No. 9 and the par-5, 446-yard No. 18.

Colby Seiler (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) debuted with an 82 to finish the day in 51
st, notching eight pars and a birdie of the par-5, 608-yard No. 12. First-year
Hill Meserve (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) posted a 13-over-par 85, birdying No. 9 and first-year
Ryan Ault (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) rounded out the scoring four with a 15-over-par 87, birdying No. 12.
