WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Senior Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) moved into a tie for second in career goals in her final game for the Lycoming College women's soccer team, which wrapped up the 2026 season with a 1-1 draw against Wilkes University in a Landmark Conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at UPMC Field.
The Warriors struck first exactly five minutes into the match. A long cross from midfield found Long, who weaved around two defenders, evaded the keeper, and took a sharp-angled shot from the left side that snuck in for the first goal of the night, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Wilkes (9-6-3) evened the score in the 77th minute, when Jordan Schouten scored off a feed from Abby Bolz.
Long picked up her sixth goal of the season and the 34th of her career, finishing her career even with Rebekah Shipe '08 and junior teammate Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) for second-most in program history. Sophomore keeper Leah Elliott (Robesonia, Pa. / Conrad Weiser Area) stopped seven shots in goal.
Keeper Delaney Yaracs made four saves for Wilkes.
The Warriors finish the 2026 season, their 10th under head coach Kenny Fern, with a record of 5-9-2 and a 1-6-2 mark in the Landmark Conference.
