WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Sophomore
Sadie Stahl (Duboistown, Pa./South Williamsport) reached the quarterfinals in her singles and doubles flights to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team at the King's Invitational, which wrapped up on Sunday, Sept. 7, at Kirby Park.
Stahl opened Sunday by wrapping up her suspended match from Saturday, beating an opponent from King's College, 6-2, 0-6, 7-6 (3) at No. 2 singles before an opponent from Scranton beat her, 8-2, in the quarterfinals.
At No. 2 doubles, she teamed with first-year
Kyleigh Snyder (West Milton, Pa./Milton Area) to beat the Eastern duo, 6-4, before their match in the quarterfinals was retired.
At No. 3 doubles, senior
Cassandra Conner (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) and sophomore
Yeanneth Rosado (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) posted a 6-4 win over Eastern's duo before falling to Misericordia's duo in the quarterfinals, 6-2.
The Warriors open their dual meet season on Wednesday, Sept. 10, with a 4 p.m. match against Alfred University at Brandon Park.
