Dawson Debebe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) caught five passes for 120 yards and a touchdown and sophomore
Joe Lyons III (Margate City, N.J./Atlantic City) threw for a career-high 290 yards to lead the Lycoming College football team, which fell to Rowan University, 34-23, on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27, at David Person Field at Girardi Stadium.

Debebe, in his first significant action of the year, was a part of a Lycoming (0-4 overall) receiving corps that helped Lyons finish 22-of-39 for 290 yards and a touchdown. He was intercepted once.

Junior
Terrence Oliver (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) rushed 24 times for 79 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught five passes for 46 yards. Junior
Ross Eyer (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) added four catches for 46 yards and senior
Colin McGrory (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) also had four receptions for 39 yards.

Ryan Pentz (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) had eight tackles, one for a loss, and sophomore
Daniel Atsou (Capitol Heights, Md./Suitland) had eight tackles, three for a loss and a fumble recovery. Junior
Louie Shank (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) notched five tackles and an interception.

Rowan (2-0-1 overall) got on the board first with a 45-yard touchdown with 6:11 left before the Warriors embarked on an 11-play, 75-yard drive capped by a 34-yard pass from Lyons to Debebe on a flea flicker to tie the game. Shank intercepted a pass in the end zone to start a 10-play, 80-yard drive, with Oliver scoring from 28 yards out to make it 14-7 at halftime.

The Profs scored two touchdowns to lead 21-14 halfway through the third before first-year
Vasco Granitto (Dover, Del./Polytech) capped a seven-play, 63-yard drive with a 29-yard field goal. After another Rowan touchdown, Oliver capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive with a six-yard touchdown rush to make it 28-23 heading into the fourth quarter, when Rowan kicker Greg Casimir hit two field goals to make up the final margin.

Nunes Bukula IV rushed 12 times for 116 yards and a score. Nate Maiers was 15-of-23 for 284 yards and three touchdowns and Michael Zarfati has six catches for 133 yards and all three of those scores.

Giani Detameaux posted 11 tackles, 3.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks to lead the Rowan defense. Jackson Ferrante had nine stops and Ezra Williams-Thomas had an interception.

The Warriors wrap up their three-game homestand with the opening of the Landmark Conference season against Moravian University on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m., at David Person Field at Girardi Stadium.
