WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Sophomore
Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) scored a pair of second-half goals, including the game-winner on a penalty kick with three minutes left to lead the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a program-record eighth straight win, 2-1, over Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20, at UPMC Field.

Magee tied the game in the 63rd minute, as she scored off a corner kick that was deflected in before she notched the game-winner off a penalty kick with 3:02 left to play after first-year
Gabriella Rabinowitz (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) was tackled in the 18-yard box.

Magee already has 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points this season, sitting 13
th in the program's single-season history in goals, fifth in assists and 11
th in points through just eight games.

After Alvernia's Taylor Flaherty got the Golden Wolves (1-4-2 overall) on the board in the 50th minute, they were only able to take one shot in the last 40 minutes.

Senior
Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) played all 90 minutes in net for the Warriors (8-0 overall), who broke the program record for most wins in a row with the win. Emily Rossino and Abby Rowley combined to make eight saves for Alvernia.

The Warriors will look to extend their winning streak on Wednesday, Sept. 24, when they head to Penn State-Abington for a 4 p.m. match.
