Warriors drop Penn College in sweep

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over crosstown rival Penn College, winning 25-9, 25-12, 25-14 on Wednesday night, Oct. 8, at Lamade Gymnasium.

Lycoming (11-8) hit .388 as a team and did not trail the entire match as they secured their second sweep in a row, allowing just 35 points to Penn College (4-16), the fewest allowed by the Warriors since allowing 34 points to Wilson on Sept. 17, 2022.

The Warriors roared out of the gate in the first set, blowing up a close set early (5-4) with a 20-4 run to close the set. Lycoming built a 9-2 lead in the second set and never looked back. The third set saw the Warriors score the first five points and keeping the Wildcats at bay to secure the sweep.
