Warriors run win streak to five in straight-sets sweep

LA PLUME, Pa.—The Lycoming College volleyball team won their fifth match in a row with a 25-12, 25-16, 25-16 sweep of Keystone College on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Gambel Athletic Center.

Lycoming (9-6) cruised against Keystone (1-14) in their final tune-up before conference play, never trailing at any point during the match. The Warriors have lost only two total sets during their current five-match winning streak, their longest streak since an eight-game run from Sept. 4-26, 2023.

The Warriors played a clean, efficient match with only six attack errors, hitting a robust .439, while Keystone hit -.094.

Lycoming was led by first year Emi Wenger (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley), who tallied a team-high 11 kills and posted a .625 hitting percentage. No other player had more than four kills, but first year Kamryn Skieth (Monroe, Wash. / Sultan) tallied four kills, four aces, and nine assists, junior Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa. / Galeton Area) added four aces of her own, while first year Addison Morgan (Bethlehem, Pa. / Northampton) led the squad with 12 assists and sophomore Jadea Toth (Williamsport, Pa.) posted a team-high seven digs to go along with two aces and two assists.

The Warriors will begin Landmark Conference play on Friday, Oct. 3, when they hit the road again to take on the University of Scranton on at 7 p.m.
