WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite doubling up 23rd-ranked John Carroll University in shots, the Lycoming College men's soccer team couldn't find the back of the net in a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21, at UPMC Field.
First-year Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va. / Spring Mills) notched one save in the first half and three during the second, as he notched his fifth shutout of the season with the help of a defense that only allowed six shots to the visiting Blue Streaks (5-1-2 overall).
Dominic Grobler saved four shots launched by the Warriors (5-1-1 overall), who fired 12 in the game to John Carroll's six.
Senior Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove) launched four shots, two of which were shots on goal. Junior Keller Chamovitz (Sewickley, Pa. / Quaker Valley) made three shot attempts, including two on goal.
The Warriors get back on the field against regionally-ranked Penn St.-Harrisburg on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at UPMC Field at 7 p.m.
