WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Lycoming College women's lacrosse's Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) was announced as the Robert J. Sinnott '81 Award winner at the College's Senior Athlete Celebration & Athletics Recognition Banquet on Wednesday, May 8.
 
First presented in 2022, the Robert J. Sinnott Award is presented to a student-athlete who has made a significant contribution to the success of their team, excelled in their academic studies, and exemplified the qualities of character, courage, leadership, and determination. All traits that exemplified the award's namesake Bob Sinnott, a member of Lycoming Athletics Hall of Fame.
 
Stauffer was a four-year starter at goalkeeper for the Warriors, helping the team make two appearances in the MAC Freedom Championship semifinals and leading the team to two winning seasons. She is one of two keepers in program history to have two 200-save seasons in her career and she finished with 669 career stops, the second-most in program history. Her 24 career wins are third-best in program history and her 232 saves as a sophomore are the program standard.
 
In addition to earning Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference honors this year, she was a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District pick in 2023 and a three-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll. An actuarial science and mathematics major, Stauffer was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma (Athletes), Phi Sigma Iota (languages); Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics) and Kappa Mus Epsilon (math) Honor Societies. A member of the Omicron Delta Kappa (leadership) Honor Society, Stauffer was also a member of the Student Senate.
 
A Francis Knights Skeath STEM Scholar, Stauffer completed an internship with Benecon in the summer of 2023, which led to a job offer at the company.
