WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Winning five of the six contested matches, the Lycoming College women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over McDaniel College in non-conference action at Brandon Park on Sunday afternoon, April 28.
 
After starting the match with default wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles, the Warriors clinched the match with a pair of doubles wins. Senior Emily Wolfgang (Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery) and sophomore Emma Kelchner (Nescopeck, Pa./Central Columbia) posted an 8-3 win over Liz Fyfe and Mackenzie McCarter at No. 1 doubles and the No. 2 team of first-year Abigail Ebel (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) and senior Hiyori Iai (Zushi, Japan/Yokohama Science Frontier) added an 8-3 win over Claire Hopkins and Leah Somerville.
 
Lycoming then added three singles wins, with sophomore Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) added a 6-0, 6-2 win over McCarter at No. 2. Junior Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) added a 6-1, 6-0 win over Hopkins at No. 3 and Iai added a 6-1, 6-0 win over Somerville at No. 4.
 
Lycoming finished its season with a  4-13 record under second-year head coach Joel Reid. McDaniel finished 2-15.
