Baldwin named Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa – After setting a Lycoming College women's lacrosse single-game record with 13 points  in its first home game of the season, junior Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md./ Harford Tech) was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday, March 4.

Baldwin was hard to stop on Saturday, March 2, against Buffalo State, leading the team to a 21-15 win. Baldwin started the game by assisting on the first three goals and had a goal and four assists in the first quarter, two goals and an assist in the second, a goal and an assist in the third and three assists in the fourth quarter.

Baldwin's total of nine assists issecond in school history, one shy of the record. Seven Warriors had previously posted 12 points in the game, with the first time coming in 1999 and the last in 2019.

Baldwin currently leads the Landmark Conference in both points (9.50) and assists (7.0). She broke the school's single-game record of 12 points, initially set in 1999 and last accomplished in 2019, with her last assist of the game with 32 seconds remaining to seal the win.

The Warriors will be back in action at UPMC Field on Saturday, March 9, as they host Wilson College at 1 p.m.
