WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) led the Lycoming College volleyball team with a season-high 17 kills to go with eight digs, but Elizabethtown College was able to escape Lamade Gym with a 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 19-25, 25-22) Landmark Conference win on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12.

Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) added 21 digs, becoming the fifth player in program history to reach 1,400 digs in a career.

Bisel hit .300 in the match and was accompanied by junior
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley), who added 10 kills and two blocks and senior
Camryn Quelet (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) posting seven kills. Senior
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) also added five kills and two blocks.

Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) notched 27 assists and sophomore
Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) posted 15 assists and two aces. Sophomore
Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa./Galeton Area) had three blocks and senior
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) added 15 digs.

After hitting .062 in the first set, the Warriors (7-11 overall, 1-3 Landmark) heated up in the second set, after falling behind 19-11, pulling within three with a 9-4 run before Elizabethtown closed the set with two points. The hit .303 in the third set with 13 kills and forced eight hitting errors to force the fourth set, which went through 11 ties and eight lead changes before the Blue Jays (12-7 overall, 3-1 Landmark) notched the last three points of the match.

Gracie Britten led the Blue Jays with 10 kills, Ida Fisher added four blocks, Emma Bitner had 22 assists and five aces and Lucy Stern posted 15 digs.

The Warriors head to top-ranked Juniata College for a Landmark Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 15, for a 7 p.m. match.
