Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y./Chittenango) and sophomore
Greta Kimble (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) each posted singles wins to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team, which fell to Penn College, 7-2, in non-conference action at Brandon Park on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Four of the six singles matches went to a super-set tiebreaker, but the Warriors (0-6 overall) took just one of those four in the tightly contested match.

Kimble defeated Georgia Macensky, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 10-3, at No. 4 singles to win the superset tiebreaker and Lanphear added a 6-4, 6-1 win over Faith Murray at No. 3.

Penn College improved to 2-0.

The Warriors head to Moravian University for a 1 p.m. Landmark Conference match on Saturday, Oct. 7, to wrap up its fall portion of play.
