DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore
Avery Eiswerth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) threw a complete-game seven-hitter and the second-seeded Lycoming College softball team rallied with six runs in the last two frames to post a 6-3 win over third-seeded King's College, on Friday afternoon, May 5, in their second MAC Freedom Championship elimination game of the day to advance to the tournament final on Saturday at Delaware Valley University's Softball Field.

The Warriors (25-13 overall) will face top-seeded Misericordia in the finals, needing to beat the Cougars twice on Saturday, May 6, to win the MAC Freedom Championship. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
Lycoming broke its record for wins in a season set by the 2017 team with the victory.

Down by three runs in the sixth, the Warriors got on the board, starting the rally when first-year
Claire Alexander (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport Area) singled with a hard shot to lead off, senior
Morgan Wetzel (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) walked with one out and sophomore
Rachel Daub (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale Area) singled up the middle to load the bases for sophomore

Lycoming added one more in the seventh, with Alexander leading off with a double to the gap before a pair of walks loaded the bases, setting up a sac fly from Eiswerth.

The Monarchs (24-15 overall) got on the board in the fourth inning, using a single and a walk to set up a two-RBI single from Molly Gillette with two outs in the inning. Another run crossed in the fifth inning on a two-out single from Kiersten Krouse.

Alexander finished 2-for-4 with two runs and a double and DeWolfe went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.

Eiswerth (7-4) won her second game of the day, allowing seven hits and striking out four in the complete game.

Brandi McIntosh (10-5) took the loss for King's, allowing three earned runs, four hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings.
