WASHINGTON D.C. – A second-half goal by the top-seeded Catholic University of America helped lift it to a 1-0 win over second-seeded Lycoming College men's soccer team in the Landmark Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4, at Carlini Field.

Gordie Bernlohr was able to tip a pass in the backfield away from a Warrior defender and he was able to control the ball past the goalkeeper to score the lone goal of the game eight minutes into the second half.

The Cardinals (12-6-2 overall) took 23 shots in the contest, while Lycoming (11-4-6 overall) took nine, but both teams had five corner kicks and the Cardinals were whistled for seven more fouls.

Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) stopped five shots for the Warriors and Owen Allegro had two stops for the Cardinals.
