Warriors tie Elizabethtown

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- Senior Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) notched his 10th shutout of the season, one shy of the Lycoming College men's soccer team's program record, as he helped the team post a 0-0 tie at Elizabethtown College on Saturday, Oct. 28, to finish the Landmark Conference regular season tied for first with Catholic.
The Warriors clinched the No. 2 seed in next week's Landmark Conference Championship and will play the winner of Tuesday, Oct. 31's game between No. 6 Goucher and No. 3 Elizabethtown, on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m., at UPMC Field.
Wilke made a penalty kick save in the first half to ensure the tie with the Blue Jays (8-6-3 overall, 5-3-1 Landmark).
The Warriors (10-3-6 overall, 7-0-2 Landmark) outshot the Blue Jays, posting 13 shots and five being on goal. Lycoming also had seven corner kicks. Wilke made three saves and faced five shots and three corner kicks.
Kelvin Del Cid earned the shutout with five saves for Elizabethtown.
