WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) posted 20 kills and 26 digs to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team in a pair of matches at Lamade Gym on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Lamade Gym, as it beat Delaware Valley University, 3-0 (33-31, 25-13, 25-19), before falling to Keuka College, 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-19).
Bisel, who moved within a dig of 600 in her career, finished with 11 kills and 16 digs for a double-double against Keuka (15-4 overall), and added nine kills and 10 digs against Delaware Valley (9-9 overall).
Junior
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) reached 900 career digs against Keuka, as she finished with 42 digs in the seven sets, posting 29 digs against Keuka and 13 against Delaware Valley, ending the day just outside the top 15 in program history.
Bisel and junior
Jess Ahart (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) each had nine kills to pace Lycoming (12-6 overall) against the Aggies, with sophomore
Cameron Upcraft (Sprin Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) adding eight kills, a block and a .438 hitting percentage. Junior
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) also added six kills and first-year
Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa./Galeton Area) added five.
First-year
Lindsay Heimlich (Bergen, N.Y./Mercy) finished with 21 assists, an ace and a kill and first-year
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) added nine assists and two aces. Koval also had two aces. Junior
Kendall Myers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) posted eight digs.
Grace Kane led the Aggies with nine kills and 14 digs and both Monique Smith and Hannah Brennan had 11 assists. Olivia Deffendall had three aces.
Bisel led the Warriors with the double-double against Keuka, while Ahart posted eight kills and Santos, Macensky and Upcraft all finished with six. Balgavy notched 24 assists and eight digs and Myers finished with 13 digs and an ace. Upcraft also posted three blocks.
Dayna Edholm led the Wolves with 27 kills and 16 digs. Megan McCann notched 14 kills, Casey Hunziker had 49 assists, Jessica Throop posted three aces and Emma Sipos notched 19 digs.
The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, Oct. 17, when they head to Middletown, Pa., to face Penn State-Harrisburg at 7 p.m.
