READING, Pa. – Sophomore Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) and first-year Emma Kelchner (Nescopeck, Pa./Central Columbia) combined for a doubles win as well as two singles wins to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team, which fell to Albright College, 5-4, in non-conference action on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Albright Tennis Courts.
 
At No. 2 doubles, Saar and Kelchner picked up their third victory together, defeating Macie Littleton and Lauren China, 8-2.
 
Saar won her eight match of the season, downing Alizabeth Zarnofsky, 6-3, 7-6, at No. 3 singles and Kelchner won her sixth match after a quick defeat of Jacqualine Manikas, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4.
 
Junior Haley Seebold (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) was the fourth point for the Warriors in the No. 5 singles spot, defeating Littleton, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.
 
The Warriors fell to 3-4 overall to end the fall portion of the season. Albright improved to 4-1.
 
The Warriors return to the court in 2023 when they open the spring season on Saturday, April 1, against MAC Freedom opponent Arcadia University at 1 p.m. at Brandon Park.
