GLENSIDE, Pa. – Two goals in three minutes by sophomore
Haley Schafer (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) and first-year
Aubrey Williamson (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) helped the Lycoming College women's soccer team to a second-half lead, but two goals in a span of 30 seconds helped regionally-ranked Arcadia University sneak away with a 3-2 MAC Freedom win on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Lenox Field.

Schafer's unassisted goal tied the game at one in the 50
th minute after the Warriors (8-3-2 overall, 2-1 MAC Freedom) were awarded a free kick taken inside the Knights' defensive zone.

Williamson struck just three minutes later to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead, taking the shot from inside the goal box on a rebound after Arcadia's goalkeeper made an initial save on a shot by first-year
Lily Finkbeiner (Warrenton, Va./Fauquier).

Angela Rosenberger opened the scoring for the Knights (5-6-2 overall, 1-2 MAC Freedom), who are ranked eighth in the latest United Soccer Coaches' Region IV rankings. Taylor Gubler tied the game at two in the 73
rd minute, and Abby Stephens notched the game winner in the 74
th.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Abbey Gerasimoff (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) recorded five saves for the Warriors. Jordan Polen and Abigail Fuchs combined for eight saves for the Knights.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, Oct. 12, when they travel to third-ranked Misericordia University for a 7 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup in Dallas, Pa.
