NEWVILLE, Pa. – First-year Katryn Yocum (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) posted the eighth-fastest 6K time in program history, posting a time of 25:43.61 to lead the Lycoming College cross country teams at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25. The women's cross country team finished 15^th in a field of 18 teams in the long race and the men's team finished 15^th in a field of 21 teams in the long race.
 
Yocum, running her first 6K race, became just the ninth runner in school history to beat the 26:00-mark in a 6K race, as she finished 33^rd in a field of 125 runners.
 
Junior Claire Shaffer (Sayre, Pa./Sayre Area) finished in 28:48.61 to take 91^st, sophomore Hiyori Iai (Zushi, Japan/Yokohama Science Frontier) took 100^th in 29:43.40, sophomore Ali Clemens (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) took 101^st in 30:06.32 and sophomore Madisyn Neal (Roaring Branch, Pa./Canton) rounded out the top five in 32:39.60.
 
First-year Eliott Bello (Trumbell, Conn./Trumbell) posted a time of 30:11.52 in his first 8K race, finishing 53^rd in the field of 141. Senior Maxwell Hanson (Fort Walton Beach, Fla./Bishop Machebeuf (Colo.)) took 78^th in 31:03.09, senior Diego Pallares (Cicero, Ill./Bulls College Prep) claimed 119^th in 34:45.46, junior Logan Franquet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) posted a time of 37:09.02 and junior Chris Alvarado (San Antonio, Texas/KIPP San Antonio) rounded out the top five in 38:54.01.
 
The Warriors get back in action with the DeSales Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 9, which will get underway at 10:30 a.m.
