SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team won four of the seven contested matches, but fell to Messiah College, 5-4, in non-conference action at the Central Pa. Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon, April 1.
 
The Warriors (0-3 overall) won both contested doubles matches, with freshmen Hannah Seebold (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) and Mia Shuler (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) posting an 8-6 win over Rebekah Adams and Kasi Conjack at No. 1 and senior Madi Heller (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area) and freshman Emily Wolfgang (Allenwood, Pa./Montgomery Area) posted an 8-3 win over Rachel Marcroft and Rebekah Sheaffer at No. 2.
 
Shuler added a 6-7 (4), 6-0, 10-5, win in singles over Conjack, posting wins in 13 of the last 15 games after falling behind 5-0 in the first set. Hannah Seebold earned her first win at No. 3, posting a 6-2, 6-1 win over Sarah Fleming at No. 3 singles.
 
The Falcons (1-2 overall) were able to edge out Lycoming with wins in four of six singles matches and one of the three doubles matches.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, April 10, when they host Wilkes in MAC Freedom action at 12 p.m. at Brandon Park.
