WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches, but Misericordia University won five of six in singles play to post a 6-3 win to open the 2020-21 season on a sunny, Saturday, March 20, at Brandon Park.
 
Senior Madi Heller (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area) and junior Wiliana Lundy (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) posted an 8-5 win over Hailey Loughlin and Lauren Visalli at No. 2 and first-years Emily Wolfgang (Allenwood, Pa./Montgomery Area) and Haley Seebold (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) notched an 8-3 win over Cassandra Benderavich and Kayla Rembish at No. 3.
 
Wolfgang also won her first career singles match, outlasting Rembish, 5-7, 6-4, 10-7, at No. 5 singles.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, March 27, when they head to Lebanon Valley College for a 1 p.m. non-conference match.
