WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Sophomore defenseman
Julian Elguera (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) scored the first goal of his career to lead the Lycoming College men's soccer team, which fell 4-1 in a MAC Freedom tilt at Wilkes University on Tuesday night, Oct. 5, at Bruggeworth Field.

Elguera's header goal came in the 37
th minute of the first half off a corner kick to put the Warriors (5-4-2 overall, 1-1 MAC Freedom) up 1-0 and was assisted by junior midfielder
J.R. Confair (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area).

Wilkes (9-2-0 overall, 2-0 MAC Freedom) tied the game in the 44
th minute of the first half before scoring three times in the second half.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Nick Wilke (Mercerville, N.J./Notre Dame) made 10 saves for the Warriors, ranked seventh in Region IV in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, and Wilkes goalkeeper Zach Tone made six saves.

The Warriors hit the road again to face Delaware Valley University in another MAC Freedom game on Friday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m., in Doylestown, Pa.
