th goal of the season, tying senior
Jayden Leighow (Unityville, Pa./Hughesville) for the team lead, but the Lycoming College women's soccer team fell, 2-1, to MAC Freedom opponent Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the DeBaun Athletic Complex.

The setback kept the Warriors (11-7-1 overall, 3-4-1 MAC Freedom) out of the five-team MAC Freedom Championship field, as it finished one point behind fourth-seeded FDU-Florham and fifth-seeded Wilkes, who each went 3-3-2 in conference play.

Lycoming completed a historic season, as it reached 11 wins, the second-most in school history, and seven shutouts, also second in program history. Green finished the year with 12 goals and 10 assists, the first Warrior in program history to reach double-figures in both categories in the same season, as her 34 points are tied for fourth in program history, 12 goals tied for eighth and 10 assists second. Leighow's 12 goals are also tied for eighth in program history.

Green's goal came in the 21st minute of the first half as the Warriors took a 1-0 lead. Her shot came from the edge of the box and flew into the top corner. Leighow earned the assist, her fifth of the season.

The Ducks (8-5-4 overall, 5-1-2 MAC Freedom) tied the game four minutes later, with Sierra Ghougasian playing the ball to the right side of the box. Stevens scored the tie-breaking goal in the 63rd minute on a shot by Catalina Abusada, assisted by Madison Starr.

Jess Riordan (Vineland, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy) played all 90 minutes, making four saves. Izzy DiDario made one save.
