Kimble, DiJoseph lead Warriors to 16-6 win at Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Hailey Kimble (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) posted five goals and three assists and senior Kayla DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) posted five goals and an assist as the Lycoming College women's lacrosse posted a 16-6 win over Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday, March 11, at Celentano Field.
 
Freshman Gabriella Haug (Barrington, N.H./Oyster River) finished with 13 saves to earn her first collegiate win, as she allowed just six goals on 29 Falcons shots.
 
Senior Natalie Schroeder (Edgewater, Md./Annapolis) added two goals and sophomore Erika Boyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) posted a goal, three groundballs and two assists, as the team had a 10-goal lead for the final 10 minutes of the game to give first-year head coach Sarah Quigley '14 her first win with the program. Freshman Tess Arnold (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) posted an assist and four draw controls and senior Alexis Tchou (Mount Airy, Md./Urbana) notched a goal, four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
 
Lycoming jumped out with the first seven goals of the game, as Kimble scored the first three during the run before DiJoseph scored three of the last four in the half, with her final tally giving Lycoming an 8-1 lead heading into the break.
 
In the second half, the Falcons got within six goals at 10-4 midway through the period, but DiJoseph and Schroeder added two goals a piece on a run of six straight goals, which gave Lycoming a 16-4 lead with 2:48 left.
 
Kaitlin D'Agostino, Kaitlyn Ellsworth and Madison Neilander each had two goals to lead the Falcons. D'Agostino added five groundballs, five draw controls and two caused turnovers. Kelly Musante stopped 10 shots in goal.
 
The Warriors get back in action on Wednesday, March 18, when they host Misericordia University at 4 p.m. at UPMC Field.
