WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lycoming College women's tennis senior
Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and freshman
Aubrey Chambers (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) finished third in the No. 1 doubles flight at the King's Women's Invitational to wrap up play on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Kirby Park.
Summerson and Chambers defeated King's Emily Fernandez and Alexis Zalutko, 8-3, on Sunday morning. They opened play on Saturday by beating Arcadia's Julia Paroboschi and Tess Weber, 8-6, before falling to a Scranton duo, 8-4.
Summerson also competed at No. 1 singles on Sunday, falling to Susquehanna's Ashlynn Searer, 8-2, in the third-place match.
She is now just three wins from the school record of 39 set by
Heidi von Schwedler from 2000-04.
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. when they host Elizabethtown in non-conference action at Brandon Park.
