WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three hitters finished with at least 10 kills, led by 12 from junior
Elle Jednorski (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston), as the Lycoming College volleyball team turned away Widener, 3-1, in MAC Commonwealth action on Tuesday night, Sept. 17, beating the Chester, Pa., school for the first time since 2014.

Jednorski had two blocks to go with her team-high in kills while junior
Kiannah Titus (Clay, N.Y./Baldwinsville) notched a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs and senior
Alysa McDevitt (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) posted 10 kills, hitting .368, to go with three blocks. Freshman
Elizabeth Kelson (Denville, N.J./Morris Catholic) added eight kills, hitting .385, to go with three blocks.

Emily Morris (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) added 38 assists, 12 digs and four kills for her sixth double-double of the season and senior
Lindsay Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown Community) added 13 digs and two aces. Senior
Lilly Singleton (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) posted two kills, two aces and three digs and junior
Emily Konopka (Wrightstown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) had three kills, three assists, four digs and two blocks.

The Warriors (8-5 overall, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth) notched 49 kills, hitting a solid .220 in the match while holding Widener to .171, grabbing 57 digs, and adding nine service aces while the Pride (3-9 overall, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) notched just three.

Widener was led by 13 kills from Hollie Jones, as she hit .500, and nine kills and nine digs from Shelby Motz. Sydney Nichols had 19 assists and Ashley McAfee posted 10 digs. Claire Kauffman and Carly Vanit each had three blocks.

The Warriors took control of the first set after it was tied at 15, with a kill from Kelson and an ace from Beck leading the team on a 10-4 run to close it out. Widener evened the match in the second set, breaking a tie at 17 with a pair of points, helping it go on an 8-5 run to close out the win.

In the third set, Lycoming rebounded, again fighting to a tie at 15 before a kill from McDevitt was followed by a block from Jednorski and McDevitt, sparking a 10-3 run to close the set. Lycoming hit .379 in the fourth set, smashing down 14 kills in 29 swings, using an 8-2 run midway through the set to cruise to the 25-17 win.

The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Sept. 20, when they head to Arcadia for a 5 p.m. MAC Commonwealth to kick off their time at the Arcadia Invitational.
