WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team fell to Messiah College, 9-0, in a MAC Commonwealth match on Tuesday, April 9, on a windy, sunny day at Bruce Henry Park.

The Warriors fall to 3-8 overall and and 0-2 in the MAC Commonwealth, while the Falcons improve to 4-8 and 3-0 in the conference.

Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) dropped a hard-fought match at No. 1 singles, falling to Kaitlyn Russell, 6-4, 6-3. Junior
Julia Nagle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) also had a
close match, falling to Emily Wichert, 6-3, 7-5.

The duo of seniors
Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) and
Kim Parroccini (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) narrowly fell at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, to Beka Adams and Amanda Adams.

The Warriors are back on the court on Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. when they travel to Alvernia University for a MAC Commonwealth match at Angelica Park.
