WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team swept three doubles matches en route to a 7-2 MAC Commonwealth victory over Hood College on Thursday, April 18, on senior day at Bruce Henry Park.

Juniors
Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and
Julia Nagle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) defeated Megan Carter and Skyler Wright in the first flight, 8-6, before Nagle also beat Wright at No.2 singles, 6-3, 6-2.

The win moved Summerson into a tie for fourth in school history with 33 wins with Jamie Kaiser (1996-99) and Heather Straub (1997-01).

Seniors
Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) and
Kim Parroccini (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) overpowered Jennifer Slick and Abbey Bloom, 8-1, at No. 2, before Lenze defeated Slick, 6-0, 6-1 at the third flight and Parroccini posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Taylor Hall at No. 6.

Freshman
Wiliana Lundy (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) and senior
Allyson Dugan (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) took down Jordan Bailey and Taylor Hall, 8-1, at No. 3, and Lundy added a 6-2, 6-2 singles win at No. 5 over Bailey to cap off the match.

The Warriors improve to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in the MAC Commonwealth, while Hood falls to 4-8 and 0-5 in conference.Â

The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday, April 23, at 3 p.m., when they head to Lebanon Valley College for a MAC Commonwealth match at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
